Hi Larry!
Here is my newly trimmed Chapter 4: https://librivox.org/uploads/aradlaw/oregoncountry_04_putnam_128kb.mp3. The file length is 21m25.100s. Thanks so much for all your help and encouragement! :D

For some reason, I couldn't even see the new message in this thread until you pointed it out to me... sheesh!

I'll keep trying to figure out the clicks... :hmm:

Ready for PL:

9 - 12:31 https://librivox.org/uploads/aradlaw/oregoncountry_09_putnam_128kb.mp3

Interesting how so much has changed in 100+ years, the commentary about women in here shows how different it really was.

Well, he may be right about the Dechutes; it is a great river.
I love the Rogue and the Umpqua. The Umatilla ran through our town, but it is pretty tame river. Then we were on the Coquille, once a major floating route for the great logs destined for the mills. Oregon does have great rivers.

Thanks for another fine chapter!

I'd love to do sections 11 and 12, if I could -- and I'd like to do them as one file, so it can fit the original chapter. Is that possible?

I'd love to have you read these two sections!
But, let's keep them as two sections. This is as much for the listener's convenience as it is for the reader's.
Thank you.

Greetings,
Might I claim that lonely Section 8 about the forests in our great state?

Hi Larry!
I think Chapter 6 is ready for PL. 14m23.53s. Still working on the clicks and hums... but I think I've got breathing figured out... :)
https://librivox.org/uploads/aradlaw/oregoncountry_06_putnam_128kb.mp3. BTW, how do you typically do noise reduction? Just once, or more? Settings?

Thanks!
