Hi!
May I please read the Cask of Amontillado? Or some other Poe or maybe some Lovecraft?
PS if they're already used quite often then there's this amazing story called the Great God Pan by Arthur Machen that I could read.
Thanks!

Hello Shreya! Welcome to the Ghost and Horror Collection!
You may read whichever story you like, as long as it is in the public domain. Nobody minds that it's been done multiple times, more choice of voice is actually welcome!
I checked if Great God Pan is in the Librivox Catalogue and there is a solo version of it, around 2 hours. So you could do your own solo at some point if it's a favourite of yours! :D
I'm looking forward to your recordings!

A weird story! Still glad it had a "happy ending" as well.
Thank you, Davis!

Here's a ghost story I'll contribute, but a more romantic one. I hope it's appropriate.

The Call,by Algernon Blackwood

Thank you, Daniel and Dan! Does the name Dan come from Daniel, too? :D

By the way, Dan, would you like me to change your Catalog Name ( https://librivox.org/reader/11220 ) to Dan Gurzynski, since you are using it in the recording? Completely optional, I just thought I'd ask. One advantage is that it becomes searchable in the catalog, when listeners want to look you up to find more recordings by you.

Yes, definitely! That last sentence was quite chilling!

No problem. Yes, Dan is from Daniel and you can change it in the catalog to Dan Gurzynski. I never thought about having it searchable.

OOOOO, I'm squeaking into this collection!

Here is "Was It A Dream?" by Guy de Maupassant:

https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/ghohor039_wasitdream_maupassant_ljb_128kb.mp3

Duration 19:47

Text source: http://www.gutenberg.org/files/593/593-h/593-h.htm#chap24

I must say, this is one of the saddest stories I've ever read.
I'll have to find something silly for next time.
