Hey Bruce,

This project is exciting.

Sections 1 to 8 are PL OK

Section 0:
@1:49 - old copies. For some reason, I hear coffee instead of copies. Could you please double-check this one? Maybe I need some coffee.

Why Pippa Passes poem is done in two parts? Does that mean this isn't the whole poem? And he picked some parts of it? :hmm:
Constructive criticism is always welcome. Thanks, SaraHale. :D

Actually, Browning's "Pippa Passes" is quite a long work, and these are just two of the more poignant pieces that have been taken from it to stand by themselves as poems. I think the events in the poem take place over one day and the work is divided into four sections (Morning, Afternoon, Evening and Night). I know the first (#4) is sung by Pippa herself, but the second one is sung, I recall, by one of a group of girls who are present when Pippa passes by. I think the general theme of "Pippa Passes" is the effect an innocent girl's songs can have on the lives of people who hear them. It's said to be one of Browning's best works.

The LibriVox version of the entire poem was done in 2009 -- certainly well worth listening to at: https://librivox.org/pippa-passes-by-robert-browning/
And it's on Gutenberg at: http://www.gutenberg.org/files/50954/50954-h/50954-h.htm

Thanks for your interest, Sarah. These are superb works of poetry.

Do you still need a proof listener or a dedicated proof listener?

Welcome! Yes indeed, this is the place. Are you able to DPL? I'll be sending your first assignments around noon tomorrow, so check the Magic Window in this project then and they'll be there starting at section 22 and marked as "Ready for PL".

These are great poems. I hope you enjoy them.

Any questions, just ask.

Thanks very much,

This project is great for first time PLers! :D Bruce is an experienced and wonderful reader, a fact that makes proof-listening an enjoyable experience! And we're talking about the Hundred Best English poems here!!

I have added you in the project as DPL, so if you've created your password for the Magic Window, you should have access now. But let me know if something doesn't work.

Enjoy!
