This is great. Things are finally getting done. Yes. please PL as much as you can.

I made the corrections you recommended and replaced the files.

You're allowed to use the shorter intro after the first file: "This Librivox recording is in the public domain."

I can't do much about the volume. All the files are normalized to -2dB. Peaks will cause variations in overall noise levels that are difficult (for me) to correct.

Just finished the PL for Homily 5. One issue noted.

at 20:28 you say "cruel and inhumanity", should be "cruelty and inhumanity".

I finished PLing Homily 6. There were a couple of places where some words should be changed.

10:43 - I am not certain that this is a problem as I looked up the meaning of "peradventure" and it appears to be compatible with the term you used instead, "perchance". This was the only time "peradventure" wasn't used. So, I don't know if it should be changed or not. (Unfortunately, my son with the theology degree is unavailable for consultation at the moment.)

13:08 - You have "accursed of crimes" instead of "accused of crimes".

13:48 - You have "depart to him" instead of "impart to him".

I finished the PL for Homily 1. I noticed a couple of things that should be fixed.

1.At 11:28, the paragraph for verse 7, first sentence. It sounds like the word used was exertation(?). instead of "we should shrink from exertion".
2. At 20:36, it says "God wills this and does not retract". whereas the audio uses the term "detract".

Other than those two items, it sounded fine.

Just for information, I felt several of the pauses throughout were a fraction of a second too long but were not extremely long.

I'll do the rest of the PLing for you if you would like.
I finished the Spot PL for this Homily, Homily 1. Everything checks now.

OK changes made. I didn't change perchance just because I'm having a really hard time matching up the sound of the recording.

I just finished listening to Homily 7: 2 Tim 3:1-7
- The intro was matched
- there are no silences or pauses
-there are no stumbles or repeats
- there is no background noise
-The volume was good
- the ending matched the guidelines and there was a 5 second pause at the end of the file

I just finished Homily 8: 2 Tim 3:1-15
-the intro matches
- no pauses
-no stumbles
- no background noise
- good volume
- ending matched
-there is a 5 second pause

I hope this type of proof listening is ok. I'm doing it based on the question that standard reviewing asked for.

Spencer,

I've added you as DPL for this project. You now have access to make updates to the MW as you post PL notes and spot check AC's corrections.

You'll need to start by logging into the magic window. Instructions are in the BC How-to; and this is a more detailed version of the First Login instructions (with pictures!)

To enter you as a DPL, I needed to add you to our reader database. I've set it up so that you will appear under your forum name. Let me know if you would like me to change that. Some people use their forum name, some their real name, some use something else (like I'm just "MaryAnn" in the catalog because my forum name is sooooo long ...)

Your reader page is here: https://librivox.org/reader/14486 On the "Reader Section Details" tab, you can see a list of all the projects where you are currently DPL, plus the status of sections in those projects.

Let us know if you have questions.

Can you hold off for a couple days before cataloguing this? I'm still checking through these files looking for mistakes. .... err it's already catalogued... can I upload corrections?

When you upload a file for PL, that means you consider it done, barring any comments from the PLer. And when the PLer marks all the files OK, then I catalog.

Are you concerned that the PLer missed something?
