It is 9:21 in length.
0:37 Please use the full title e.g. DD = Doctor of Divinity, FRS = Fellow of the Royal Society
3:54.8 Misread “a third appeared in 1782” as “in 1784”
4:08.5-4:10 Long pause
4:12.5 Missing word pound (or l) in “a salary of 100l.”
5:55.5 Missing word pound (or l) in “330l., and it is now worth 1000l. at least”
8:05.2 Misread “sold for more than 20,000l.” as “than 2,000”
8:31.5 Misread “six volumes 8vo.(octavo), 1785” as “8 volumes, 1785”
At the end, please add 4 seconds of silence, since we need a total of ~5 seconds of silence.
Hi Bethany! I hear background sounds (like flipping pages) throughout the recording, clearly audible at about 7:27, 7:34. Just cutting out those sections or simple noise cleaning should help.
The following link has some helpful videos https://sites.google.com/site/librivideo/for-volunteers/recording
Also, if possible, please read "l." as "pound".
Please make the changes and re-upload.
Thanks for recording

I noticed that the new running time was not changed. It only went down by 1 second so I don't know if that will matter for cataloging, but I thought I would mention it.
Thanks,
Paul

It makes no difference at all to cataloguing... the validator automatically adds the exact time. The reason we need the time is mainly so we a) have an idea how long to set aside ... can I PL before dinner? and b) to check we have the whole file. If you said it was 20 minutes long and the DPL notices she has downloaded a 5 minute file, it sends up warning flags that the file is corrupt or incomplete. This doesn’t happen often, but it does happen. 1 second here or there isn’t significant.

Hi,
Thank you for that information. I wasn't sure what the time posting was meant for, but I can see the value, but like a reader checking for word count. It's fun to keep learning more each day of how everything works.
