Hello, edbucks!
You have an interesting history on Librivox: a flurry of activity in the period April to August 2010 then nothing until yesterday, 10 years later.

Even more mysterious:
* none of the links to sections you've recorded for Librivox work.
* the link to your personal website specified in 2010 doesn't work, either http://bhufc.org.uk

In all your 19 posts going back to 2010, there is no sign that you have completed the 1-Minute test.

Before I can assign you the two sections you've requested, I'd like to see your 1-minute test results and perhaps some explanation of why your Librivox links don't work. Maybe our fearless leader mightyfelix can help?

Ill be happy to make the assignments you've asked after some of the mystery is cleared up. My mind is boggling.

Bill,

No need to boggle. The sections I recorded ten years ago seem to bear scrutiny today, as for instance sections 10, 29 and 30 of

https://archive.org/details/sketches_of_fair_sex_1010_librivox/

Though I have managed to access my account, I haven't figured out how to update my profile on here. As you can imagine, a few things have changed in the meantime and if you can point me in the right direction I would be glad to at the very least delete the out-of-date stuff.

Regards

Welcome back, Ed!

Don't worry, we'll help you find your feet. Many things have changed since you were last here, I have no doubt. I recommend that you first of all record a new 1 minute test: https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=1-Minute_Test This is to make sure that your audio settings adhere to our requirements. Let us know if you need more help finding your way around!

What specifically are you trying to change? There are certain things that can only be changed by an admin, which I'm happy to do for you, if you let me know what you need. :)

Thanks so much for your welcome and offer of help. I should like to update all the data that rang alarm bells for Bill above, but I can't find these where I would expect them under User Control Panel > Profile. I'm not sure what I can do about links to previous projects, other than the one I supplied.

Ah yes, I forgot to say. I believe that Bill was looking at your old posts, from 2010. I suspect that the links he was trying to access were the uploader links you posted at that time, which are only for temporary use. Your permanent reader page is here: https://librivox.org/reader/5043 There you can access the permanent links, which work just fine. The website listed there is http://edbucks.podomatic.com/ which does not appear to be a broken link. But if you want to remove it or update it, I can do that for you.

Your forum profile, which you can update yourself if needed in the User Control Panel, appears to have the following information currently:

OK, thanks for looking into this. It doesn't sound as bad as I had feared, since I can see how to update everything but my homepage, which is now edbucks.co.uk.

So if you can update that for me, replacing the podomatic page which is not broken but doesn't reflect my current interests, I think I shall be up and running.

Hey, Ed.
I'm going to reserve sections 35 and 36 for you for a couple of weeks to give you time to do the 1-minute test whose function is to be sure your equipment and file output formats meet Librivox current requirements.

Sorry for the delay, but things just didn't seem to line up. Mightyfelix explained a few things to me. (thanks)

And I've now updated your personal website as well. I KNEW there was something else I meant to do yesterday!

NOTE: Tempos were adjusted, so PL Note locations will be off somewhat. But, Michele did the original PLing and found a very few errors, so I think these files will be squeaky clean.

Bill, I have already PL'd 9, 10 and 11, and will do the spot PL'ing. I believe Kevin agreed to PL some of the upcoming sections.
