4:10 missing “them that”
7:38 pause
12:27 minor pause
22:02 pause
29:32 pause
42:49 stumble at “moans could with difficulty”
Thank you for these notes on Chapters 8 and 9! :D I've posted the corrected files.

Were you just interested in doing some spot proof listening to help us out or would you like to join the team as our dedicated proof listener?
Unfortunately I can't be the DPL but I can help with a few more chapters!

I'm pretty new to this, now that you've posted the corrected file do I need to go back in and listen again?

Hi gradvol,

Thanks for helping out here! Yes, if possible just spot check the corrections. No need to listen to the whole file a second time. :)

Sorry about that! I do the corrections in reverse order so that I won't disturb the timing given. But I somehow managed to exit the program without saving after making the last four corrections -- which were the first four corrections listed. I went back and re-did those changes so the file should be in good order now.

Hello I am kind of new to Librivox, may I help to PL the last chapter since it is relatively short and I can gain my experience in PL? Thank you very much :)

Yes, go ahead. We seem to just be working chapter by chapter for the moment...

Thank you very much!!!
I read the instruction of standard PL but it is not that clear so I am not sure some of the mistakes need to be noted or not,
so I guess I will just put them down. Sorry...

01:11 adding of the word "him" (there is no "him" in the text)
01:17 changed the word "must" to "might" (It is "must" in the text)
02:59 changed “all the world" to "the whole world" (In the text it is "...all the world,")
07:42 missing a word "has"
10:09 changed the word "breast" to "chest"( It is "breast" in the text)
11:47 changed the word "about" to "around" (It is "about" in the text)

and the rest are good I think :D :D

These notes are fine. I like for my readings to be as good as they can be. I'm a little dyslexic and when I get into the emotion of the text and start reading fast, I begin to make a lot of small errors like these. Many prooflisteners just let these go by because they do not change the meaning of the sentences, but I don't mind going back and making corrections. Sometimes my unconscious substitutions can really mess up the sense of what the author's trying to say -- and that's a real problem.

Big things you need to look for in my recordings are that my little computer can lag and cause words to be clipped or skipped so that I need to re-record. Also sometimes when I catch my own mistakes and have to start over on a sentence, the program lags and leaves a pause in the middle of the sentence that I need to go back and cut. Also, sometimes I stutter a little on some words and don't realize that I've done it as well.

I'll get these changes posted soon so you can spot check them -- Good work!
