certainly rainbow

Kayray you bring a good point. It would probably be best to note the punctuation marks - in a quieter voice - but only inside the examples.

Whee, nice and short, just the way I like it.

http://www.zacharybrewstergeisz.com/librivox/stops/stops_02_allardyce_body.wav

~15MB, 3:00. (give it a few minutes from this post to finish uploading)

I made a loud, short noise between each edit point (where the examples & the other reader's name would go) so you can examine the waveform without listening to the whole thing.

This is so much fun I'd like more! Could I have the body of The Semicolon, and the examples for The Colon?

And another question. In the intro and outro, do you want our CHAPTER number or our SECTION number? Points of Interrogation is SECTION 6 but CHAPTER 5. I've done it both ways -- keep the one you like best. It would probably be good to clarify this in the first post. Editing my bit now...

Kara,

Where are you seeing chapter numbers?

I can't see any in the plain text version of the text, which is why I didn't set the intro as section 0. But did I miss something?

Ah. There are no chapter numbers that I can see -- I was counting the intro as 0, and the next as 1. Sorry :)

I'll edit out my "chapter 5" and "section 6" bits, and replace them with "chapter 6" heheh.

"Section 6" is fine, isn't it?

(Rushes off to read the first post...)

Lol. Have already changed it to "chapter" per first post instructions :)

Sorry to have muddled things. Oh well, it's not like we need the Body reader AND the Example reader to announce the chapter number -- Shurtagal can do it as he likes and replace my bits :)

here it is, by the way:

I love this kind of thing! Will pick up more after I read my 6 sections of Etiquette :)

Once again sorry for the confusion, as amended the call should be "section [1-16]". Thanks for the files I'll get crackin on those ASAP.

Certainly ZachBG.

OK, here's some mo':

http://www.zacharybrewstergeisz.com/librivox/stops/stops_04_allardyce_body.wav (2:26)

http://www.zacharybrewstergeisz.com/librivox/stops/stops_05_allardyce_examples.wav (4:35)

Also, I noticed I forgot to say "Rule 1", "Rule 2" etc. in my reading of "The Full Stop." I'll correct that and put up a new version ASAP.

EDIT: Okay, the corrected version is up here (same place as before):

It's not quite clear to me why these sections are being divided :? (though I did skim pretty quickly), but I'd like to do the DASH (body, I guess).

Thanks!

That would be at the wise behest of David, it also makes the separation more distinct. And thats all yours!

I'll take the examples for the apostrophe. I wasn't sure whether to read the examples that are contained within a sentence so I included them.
