Dang it, did Jim beat me to it after all...
Here you go, at 6:48:

No wonder the treasure has never been found. If you go by this, you probably end up anywhere but at the lake in question.

yes one needs to get up early to beat Jim. but thank you for this section and in such a short time space as wellAvaille wrote:Dang it, did Jim beat me to it after all...
indeed the guys could have been a bit more precise. I also would think finding the lake may not be that hard (at least nowadays) but finding the exact spot in the lake where the treasure is dumped may have been more crucial to mark down.No wonder the treasure has never been found. If you go by this, you probably end up anywhere but at the lake in question.
Totally PL ok and excellently narrated again, thanks !!!
Sonia
ok I decided not to wait much longer for edits, to get this project finished.
Section 86 only had the end silence to be added, so I quickly did that myself.
@Jim: if you wouldn't mind doing a Spot PL there, that would be helpful. The only thing I did was add 5 seconds of silence at the end.

Recording time: 2:13 min.
For Section 58, I decided that one missed date wasn't that harmful for once, and as the rest of the file was perfect, I'll mark it PL ok now. But maybe Hernan shows up still before the project is fully done, then we might get the edit after all.
For Sections 44, 45 and 47 however, the edits were too numerous to do myself, so I will have to orphan them again unfortunately I am sorry for the loss of Ben's work, but since he didn't pick up any of my PMs, I don't want to wait and keep the project stagnating for longer.
Anybody interested in giving this project the final push ? Please only claim if you have time to record soon.
Thanks

At the risk of appearing silly or more probably slightly off balance, I am happy to do all three first thing this morning. Jim
I don't think you could do anything I would find silly. And judging by your record, I fully trust in your ability to pull this off. But no stress. Though I'm happy to put this into the catalogue, please don't be in an extreme hurry. It doesn't have to be done in one day.neecheelok70 wrote: ↑July 14th, 2020, 4:38 amAt the risk of appearing silly or more probably slightly off balance, I am happy to do all three first thing this morning.
Thank you, Jim ! We are fully claimed again.

how do you do it so fast !!! Thank you. Although I probably won't manage to PL this evening. But tomorrow morning for sure and then it's off to the catalogue. Will let you know if there are any notes.
Sonia
they are all perfectly PL ok ! Thank you so much for this final push I extremely liked the section about the Canadian police, quite an interesting insight into their work.neecheelok70 wrote: ↑July 14th, 2020, 8:34 amHere they are. I hope correct.

Well: that means we reached the end of this project.
And here are the by now well-known statistics for this project :
Book 11 has been recorded by a total of 25 readers , which, along with Book 4, was the most readers we have had so far in this series. Thank you all !
readers who have participated in each one of the 11 books already: adr6090 / catharmaiden / Kitty / mightyfelix / moniaqua / neecheelok70 / WiltedScribe
readers in 10 books: alanmapstone / Availle
readers in 9 books: ColleenMC
readers in 8 books: ToddHW
readers in 7 books: knotyouraveragejo
readers in 6 books: Kikisaulite
readers in 4 books: KevinS
readers in 2 books: Leni / Piotrek81
and readers for whom this was the first book in the series: alzounes / CoreyKendrick / dmusgrove / FernandoBorrego / hayduo / jaredstarr1 / matt4312 / sphinxofblackquartz / StevenW
I'm excited that there were no less than 5 newbies who claimed their first section in this project: alzounes / CoreyKendrick / jaredstarr1 / matt4312 / sphinxofblackquartz. May there be many more to come !
And the few milestones this time were:
1) first PL ok section: done by Kevin this time about an American colony in Brazil
2) 50% PL ok mark : reached by Jared with a historical note on the West Indies
3) the 100th PL ok section was completed by Monika with the tragic photograph description of an execution wall in Havana
4) most sections narrated (a whopping 20 !) were again done by Jim, who also deserves special thanks for PLing my own sections. Thanks, Jim !
5) the longest section this time was done by a new reader, sphinxofblackquartz, who didn't shy away from narrating nearly 26 minutes about the story of Bolivar. Kudos !
6) and last but not least a big thanks to Miguel (Basquetteur), for coming up with the great CD cover ideas for each book
Launching the cataloging process now and will post link as soon as it's done
Thank you all, you make this series special ! I couldn't have done it without you !
