Boy it's hard to read that text - I mean the quality of the scan and the fact that a bunch of the names look very similar.

wow I know what you mean, Har. and Mar. were difficult to differentiate. My eyes hurt now from scrolling through the play. I think you haven't forgotten anything, let's hope I'm right.adrianstephens wrote: ↑April 6th, 2020, 9:10 am Here's Margot:

Margot is well played, thank you. That's the second housemaid in my service that has been played by a male reader. You did it quite convincingly, especially the primness and outrage against being kissed "almost" against your will.
Thank you Adrian, PL ok

And I’ve never felt so freeeee!
My alter ego Sigmund Fraud maintains that your pattern of domestics hiring is probably a heavy metal thing, Sonia.

Acts 1 and 2 ready for PL:

The narrator regrets to announce that due to circumstances beyond his control he's going to be taking over half the recording time of this play, leaving all you actual voice actors to share the remaining half between you. And just to stop anyone getting too uppity with their long speeches, he'll be interrupting you every two sentences.

yes that sounds like Pinero to me all right. thank you Michael, will try to PL soon (but I have a bit of a backlog piling up again...)MichaelMaggs wrote: ↑April 7th, 2020, 9:16 am The narrator regrets to announce that due to circumstances beyond his control he's going to be taking over half the recording time of this play, leaving all you actual voice actors to share the remaining half between you. Yes, Pinero did not seem to think that his actors could act without his telling them every nuance. Another way to think of it is that HE is the narrator and he wanted his part to be the longest.MichaelMaggs wrote: ↑April 7th, 2020, 9:16 am Acts 1 and 2 ready for PL:

You might toss in a "part 1" and "part 2" recording somewhere so I can doctor up the intros and outros if I need to stay beneath the 74 minute total allowed time per section....
Thanks, Todd
wohooo, what a feat this time, Michael both acts straight PL ok. At such a length this is extraordinary work. Thank you so much.MichaelMaggs wrote: ↑April 7th, 2020, 9:16 am Acts 1 and 2 ready for PL:

Now Todd has the framework to edit upon already. He will be chuffed.
Sonia
Round 1 of moneyspinning Milly is ready for PL. I am showing her two facettes already here. A tender side but acting like a femme fatale when needed, to ensnare her ex-lover into her schemes again.
Hope you like the interpretation, Todd

Faubert act 1 (with corny Franglais accent)

I agree this text is awful to read. Trying to dig the actual lines out of the stage directions is really tricky.

OK, here they are, as a separate track labelled "0", so you can pick them up easily if you need them.

Faubert is a shifty sleaze but you played him very convincingly Alan loved the performance, and your French in the few French bits is not bad at all.alanmapstone wrote: ↑April 10th, 2020, 2:50 amFaubert act 1 (with corny Franglais accent)

So far, all PL ok. Thank you, looking forward to the next part

well... it's all for a good cause. Nevertheless, I fear time has made my skills rusty. Or I simply developed a conscience (shocking !) and cannot cheat my old lovers anymore.
Anyway, here is act 2.
