Section 1 - PL OK

Section 8 -
5:13 "...the highly poetical truth...." Should be "The HIGHEST poetical truth..."
9:36 (not a big deal) "...children or the ideals of his people." should be "children or the ideals of THE people..."

<snip>

Whitman's recording is interesting. Thanks for sharing. He speaks so slowly, weighing each word, hoping its import sinks in fully. Here's a video I found: 3 visual interpretations of Whitman's "A Noiseless Patient Spider" along with three readings. That was interesting too. This was an LV Poetry Weekly back in 2005. It's probably time for that one to be done again.

Terrific animations! and, more strangely alike than I would have guessed they would be. Thanks for bringing this TED thingy to our attention. I wished that WW had written some sort of commentary on the imagery in this little semi-poem. But, maybe he would say, if asked to do so: "Naaaah... it's like trying to explain a joke - it never works."

(I apologize for my messaging redundancy/ ineptitude. I'm ponderously navigating my way through the LibriVox platform learning curve. I'll get there...)

Section 8 uploaded with 2 corrections:

Thanks, Brian. Your citations were minor by LV Standard standards, but a-okay by me. :thumbs:
The piece is about poets and how carefully they choose every word, after all. :D

I am still navigating my way through the LV platform. :lol: You're doing great.

Sections 4 and 10 are PL OK. Thank you.
I love this line: "The least develop'd person on earth is just as important and sacred to himself or herself as the most develop'd person is to himself or herself." It supports a theme I have suspected, undeveloped peoples find just as much stuff to interest themselves as we do with all our gadgets in this developed one. I surmise from this that few primitive peoples were bored.

Oops, Tom, when you uploaded your Section 9, you wiped out Levine's file, who actually recorded Section 9. And you did actually record the correct text, The Two Poems! You will need to repair your intro and maybe outro to Section 11 to say Part 11 of...……, rename the file using _11_, and upload again. Thanks.

I have a copy of Section 9 here so I can upload Levine's file again. No worries there.
