Trisha, et. al.,

Here is section 33: https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/character_33_smiles_128kb.mp3

Time: 15:52.5

I think I found this the most interesting and invocative piece I have read in this book, and maybe anywhere in a long time. It is an interesting 'bent' on Art and its place in the world. Is it really as important as some make it out? Should we (the taxpayers) be spending (by governmental edict) so much money on 'art' in 'public spaces'? Interesting question. Could that money be better spent on things like schools or social programs, etc.? :hmm:

Well read! Makes me want to look up some of George Wilson's writings.

The volume is too low on this, but there are spikes that prevent amplification. Would you be willing to run Compressor, then amplify?

Compressor settings that will work:
Threshold: -16 dB
Noise floor: -35 dB (or thereabouts)
Ratio: 3:1
Attack/Decay: default settings

Then you can amplify by 4 dB.

Somehow it's even quieter than the previous one - not by much, just a little. :hmm:

I can fix it, if you want me to, but you'll probably still have volume issues with future recordings.
