The file length is about 2:48.2.

Some notes on Chapters 2 and 3:

Chapter 2 has no problems at all and will show to be PL OK in the MW. Nice use of different voices for different characters, SopB.

Chapter 3:

I don't know if we set a policy about reading the titles of illustrations or not. At 01:36, the reading has "Pig on Stairs" for an illustration title. I leave it up to the powers that be to decide if we should remove it or let it be.

At the very end of Chapter 3, the reading has "End of chapter" and not "End of chapter 3".

Otherwise, PL OK.

Yes, please do NOT read captions for illustrations.
They really have nothing to do with the narrative of the story and can be confusing to someone just listening.
Should be easy to edit out.

We did that 1 minute test recording with garage band.
https://librivox.org/uploads/tests/test_Mchang.mp3

Please let me know when I can submit the recording for the chapters I requested.

Thanks,
Maggie Chang

I would like to read:
32 Mr. Fox Open
33 Mr. Slipper-Slopper Open
34 A Dinner Invitation Open
35 Roast Duck

This is my first time doing this reading.

I would like to be named as MChang.

Thanks

Well, I think this would be a fine activity for you while school is now at home.
There are some things you need to do first before you start recording.
Please read through the Newbie Guide to recording, here: https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Newbie_Guide_to_Recording

Among the very useful information that will get you off to a good start are instructions for completing a one-minute test recording and posting it. It is mainly to check out your recording equipment and the technical aspects. Once you have that approved, then you can post back here. In the meantime I will save Chapter 32 for you, and after you have that done successively, you can ask for more chapters, okay?

Looking forward to hearing from you again soon.

I'm so sorry about the "Pig on Stairs" thing. I got a little confused at first because it looked like it was part of the rhyme. I will edit it out. :)
And I will fix the Chapter thing too. :D

Okay, Maggie, I've listened to your test recording and left my remarks there on the forum.

As noted, there are several technical issues that you need to correct, and one note on your reading.
I'll go ahead and save these sections for you, but won't officially assign them until I know you have the revisions done successively done on your test Better to get this all squared away before you start recording these actual book chapters, okay.

You'll be fine. There is a LOT to learn here at the beginning, so stick with it and ask questions if you're not sure about anything. And read all of the Guide. We've also got a lot of instructional videos on various aspects of how things are done on LibriVox.

Glad you are here! :9:
