I see "My Roomy" (11 & 12) is Open in the MW, but has a note that it was claimed. If it is indeed open, I'd be happy to take a go at it.

Thanks. The other claimant hasn't shown up, so I'm happy to give this story to you. Enjoy!

Thank you.

Question: Where should we put the little preface for the chapter? After section/chapter/part intro? Or between the Librivox tag and the section/chapter/part intro?

Here's the text that I'm talking about for this story (p. 179):
My Roomy
A house party in a fashionable Third Avenue laundry and the predicament of a hero who has posed as a famous elevator starter form the background of this delightful tale of life in the Kiwanis Club.
Apologies if this was answered in another post.

Good question, OO. I like to get the disclaimer out of the way.
How about after "recorded by.....say
Chapter 6, Part 1, My Roomy, read the blurb, My Roomy, Section One, read the story saying Section 2,3,4, etc.
End of My Roomy, Part 1 of 2
Chapter 6, Part 2, My Roomy, Section Five, read the story with Section 6, 7 etc.
End of My Roomy

It is confounding when parts have parts!!!!! :D

Sounds good! I'll work on it over the weekend. It looks like a fun story.

Well, that was a lot of baseball....but Horseshoes is ready for PL (I think). Ran into a weird Audacity error during editing, hope all the pieces made it OK.

I think "Hokey" comes in all accents. Run with the one you are most comfortable with to get the point across. No one will be offended around here. :D

And not every reader does different voices for each character, and the stories still sound good. Some readers just like to do characters.

And one more thing . . . . Lardner's spelling is atrocious on purpose, so don't try to correct it. Therein lies some of his humor.
Hey Michele! I'm so sorry but I'll have to withdraw from doing these sections. I've had less time and energy on my hands than I thought I would :(

That's OK. I've opened up the section. Thanks for letting me know, and hope to see you around the LV playground as time permits.

I'm just lazy... FWIW, the claim date in the MW doesn't seem quite right.
