14 and 16 are PL OK!
section 15 has a repeat at 21:56 'inasmuch as over that broken ground...

Martin Chuzzlewit is possibly my favourite Dickens book! I have really been enjoying listening to this one, It would be quite something to see the world through his eyes!

The final three chapters are read, and the correction to 15 has been made.

In the final chapter, there is a footnote which is found at the bottom of the Project Gutenberg file, labeled "Note to the original edition." I inserted it at the appropriate point (10:51), then left a slight pause before returning to the main text.

I'll start the Martin Chuzzlewit thread in the next day or so.

I was just looking at the opening of Martin Chuzzlewit. The Project Gutenberg file I will be reading from includes a Preface and a Postscript (though why the latter is placed at the beginning of the text I don't know). I just discovered that the Postscript is the exact same writing as the Postscript of American Notes which I have just read. I suppose that makes sense, as he DOES mention within it that he intends his speech to be added to BOTH books from that point onward. You mention that Martin Chuzzlewit is one of your favorites, so you already know that part of it is set in the U.S.

I have decided that that I will move the Postscript to the final chapter of MC where it makes much more sense. When the time comes, perhaps I will simply cut and paste the recording I have already made!

I suppose this post would have been more appropriate to the new thread I'll be starting, but it was on my mind now.

18 is corrected. I'm not sure how I managed to almost go through the entirety of this book, only to make two errors in the last few chapters lol

I've started the thread for Martin Chuzzlewit in the New Projects section. :)

I'm hoping you'll both stick with me.
