Sowing and Reaping by Frances E. W. Harper (1825 - 1911).

All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/sowing-and-reaping-by-frances-e-w-harper/
This novel is subtitled A Temperance Story, which identifies explicitly the focus of the work. Frances Harper is a Christian moralist and uses her writings for didactic purposes. Here she contrasts two couples, one, Belle and Paul, who do not drink and whose lives are happier and more productive, and the other, Jeanette and Charles, whose lives are destroyed by the demon rum. (N.B. There are some missing portions of the text)
  • Text source (only read from this text!): http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/11022
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Here is Section 2. And as you can see, I think, there is no Chapter 3: the text is missing. Is this the way for me to indicate that. Jim :hmm:

2 PL OK.

The book summary is a good place to note such things. Sometimes we find chapters numbered incorrectly.

edit: I would just skip to chapter 4 (in the row below chapter 2 in the MW).

Thanks, Dave. I have said in the summary that there would be missing parts, but what do I do in the MW? For now, I will just skip to 4, I guess. Jim
