Here are your notes:
The file name is wrong. It should be hyp021_04_various_128kb.mp3
The volume is far too low. You should be at about 89 dB, and your recording is at 77.2 dB. You need to amplify it by about 12 dB
0:00: The opening silence is too long. You should have "No more than 0.5 to 1 second of silence", and yours is over 1.6 seconds.
0:25: You only need 'Children's Sayings' here. As it says in the first post, "If the section you're reading contains more than one story, please read the story titles as you read each story"
6:58: The ending silence is too short. You should have "~5 seconds silence at the end of the recording", but you've only got about 3.7 seconds.
Also, for future reference, we recommend you include the length of a recording when you post it, to make it easier to add to the magic window.

Thanks for your section Kristin, and your notes Jordan. Just wanted to tell you Kristin that your first sections that you turn can be the most work to edit but it does get easier! Thanks in advance for your editing work!

Thank you for the feedback!
I have made the changes and resubmitted the file. Only I could not see where to include the file length. Where could I do this?
Thank you,
Kristine

You can just do it here when you post the link. Thanks! I'll update the Magic Window.kristineasay wrote: ↑April 14th, 2020, 10:09 am Thank you for the feedback!

You'd include it in the post when you post the link. Also, if you update a file (especially if you've changed the file name), you should include a new link.kristineasay wrote: ↑April 14th, 2020, 10:09 am Thank you for the feedback!

So in this case, you'd post something like this:
Anyway, about the new file. You made the changes I asked, but unfortunately you over-corrected the volume, and now it's too loud. You're at about 96 dB, when 92 is seen as the upper limit. Here's the new version of the file:

Because it's an easy fix, I've changed it myself, and this is PL OK now.

Thanks for fixing the volume. When I went to adjust it in Audacity, the numbers were different than the 77.2 that you had mentioned. I saw numbers like 16. How did you fix it?
The '16' you saw was probably the maximum amount you could amplify without clipping. What you should have done is select the whole track, go to 'Amplify', type '12' in the 'Amplification' box, and click OK.
I got the value 77.2 dB using Checker. Audacity doesn't have a way to measure volumes. At least not by default. You can install the 'ReplayGain' plugin to add that functionality.
