I'm interested in reading section 28, "Marine Carnivora, The Eared Seals, or Sea-lions, The Fur-seals, The Hair-Seals" if it is not already requested or claimed. Thank you!

Hello, Alex, and welcome to Librivox. Thank you for claiming. I see you already put your one-minute test up, that is great. Please wait for the feedback there before attempting the recording here, so you can start with everything correct and not waste time and effort. :) Happy reading!

Just uploaded Section 23, Domestic Dogs.

It's interesting to hear how our standards and understanding have changed since this was written. I liked the picture of the champion "Maltese terrier"--it looks way messier than my groomer wife would ever let ours get! Also since this book's publication, Malteses are no longer classified as terriers. We have now fully admitted to ourselves that Malteses are completely purposeless toys. (Not that that's such a bad thing!)

Thanks much, Steven!

That is, I think, one of the amazing things here at LV, having the chance to read these books and think about how things changed. :)

I would like to claim Section 59 (The Sloths, The Anteaters), and Section 61 (Armadillos, The Pichiciago, The Peludo, The Pangolin, The Aardvark), please.

As an aside, in the Magic Window on page 1 of this thread, I noticed something I thought was a bit strange. In the text, Section 61 (Armadillos...) actually comes before Section 60 (The Marsupials...). Can someone clear this up?

Thanks.
