The Dawn’s Awake! by Otto Leland Bohanan, read for LibriVox.org by [your name].
[Add, if you wish, date, your location, and/or your personal URL.]
Then read the poem:
THE DAWN’S awake!
A flash of smoldering flame and fire
Ignites the East. Then, higher, higher,
O’er all the sky so gray, forlorn,
The torch of gold is borne.

The Dawn’s awake!
The dawn of a thousand dreams and thrills.
And music singing in the hills
A pæan of eternal spring
Voices the new awakening.

The Dawn’s awake!
Whispers of pent-up harmonies,
With the mingled fragrance of the trees;
Faint snatches of half-forgotten song—
Fathers! torn and numb,—
The boon of light we craved, awaited long,
Has come, has come!

At the end of your reading, leave a space and then say:
End of poem. This recording is in the public domain.

Thank you melilycui, good reading, but your file is in stereo and we need a mono file; the volume is a bit low at 83.4 dB.
You should aim for your wave forms to peak near the 0.5 mark, like this:
Image

You can check your volume using our Checker program - see info at http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Checker You will find the volume in decibels on the Information tab. For your information, we look for around 89 dB (87-91 is OK)

Please make those corrections and upload again (same filename).

If no one has asked you yet, please let me know under what name would you like to appear in the LV catalog and if you have one, we can put your personal URL link on your catalog page too.
You can view your brand new LV Catalog page by clicking your forum name in the Magic Window.
