And, be sure to read trhough our Newbie Guide to Recording referrenced under point 2 ot the initial project post.
I'm trying to find the post but it seems to be deleted or something, anyway regardless the cause of that I'd be glad to retry it again :D

Hi... I would like to read section 5. I am new to Librivox, and here is the place in the forum where I linked my 1-minute test.

Hi there! I am Bi, and I am interested in reading chapters 34 and 35. If possible, or if the space is open, I can also read 24, 25 and 26. I know this may seem like a lot, but I know what I'm doing, and I have lots of time this week/next week.

Lovely to talk to you,
Bi.

Hi, BI

Weil, I dol appreciate your enthusiasm and your confidence that you know what you're doing, but there are a few things you need to do before jumping in.

Although not official, I did listen to your test recroding and there quite a few things wrong, so I suggest your review the technical specifications that we need. Here are a few:

The bit rate is incorrect.
It is in stereo, and all LV recordings must be mono only.
The volume is very much too low at only 81.2 dB. The LV target is 89db with an acceptable range of 86-91 dB
Actual recordings can have no more than one second of silence at the beginning, and about 5 at the end. (Yours has five at the beginning and close to six at the end)
And the file name is incorrect. "yourforumname" is the template, and should be your actual forum name, bicompton
I suggest you read through the Newbie Guide to Recording (see point 2 in the head post for this or any LV project) There is a LOT to learn at the beginning, but it will soon become second nature as you gain a little experience.

Then, upload a new test recording, paying attention to the above points, and when you have it approved, post your request here again and let me know how you would like to be listed in the LV catalog, and I'll be glad to assign you your first section. I'll save one for you for a few days.

Let me know if you have any questions about any of this.
