Hi, Brianna :)

Section 4 is actually one that another reader is already working on.

This project is a little different from most LibriVox group projects, in that each reader chooses their own short-story myth or legend to submit. As long as the source is in the public domain, and the selection is within 70 minutes of recording, you can do whatever you want. :) Project Gutenberg is a great place to look for public domain source material. Some selections people have submitted are short works of their own, others are single chapter from a book.

I wrote a short story based on the kelpie king Ademarus from Celtic mythology. Could I read that?

That sounds amazing - I wish I could say "yes"! (But LibriVox doesn't let us record our own works. We can only do things that are published and in the Public Domain.)

Hi, Kristen! These look like great additions, thank you! I do need a few things before putting them into the MW (but I am reserving two spots for them!)

First, can you paste a link in a reply that takes us to the source these came from? :)

Second, we need a Reader page made for you, so I will need to know what name you want used for that. It is the name the public sees on the audiobooks you contribute to, and on your public Catalog Reader Page.

Third, We'll need to get you checked off for the 1-Minute test to make sure your system is all set up properly. Since this file is such a short one, why don't we use it? :) One thing that needs to be changed, that I can see right off the bat, is that file names cannot have any capitals in them. We also run the title without spaces, and make the name short. So, can you change this file name to mlaw011_tricksofafox_sierra_kr_128kb - and then upload it again, selecting tests - tests from the MC drop-down list. Copy and paste the link it gives you to a new post on the Listeners & Editors Wanted board, and we'll go from there to get your system OK'd. :)

If you reply here that you have a test tile uploaded and posted, I'll make sure your test is responded to quickly.

Hi, Binyamin!

Yes, this is a perfect addition to this volume, and that source is absolutely acceptable.

I checked out your test for you, and your system is set to go!

I just need you to tell me what name you want used to create your Reader Page in the Catalog. That is the name that the public will see on the audiobooks that you contribute to. Some folks use their real name, some use their forum name, and some use a pseudonym. Also, if you have a personal web site, we can put a link to the URL if you want.

I didn't proof listen the two files, but I did a quick tech check. I only listened to the head and tail of one recording.

The files are in stereo; otherwise they check out OK on tech specs.

The intro wording wasn't followed. (A bit more info in the intro than we require, and the LV disclaimer was missing.)
School fiction: David Blaize
America Exploration: The First Four Voyages of Amerigo Vespucci
Serial novel: The Wandering Jew
Medieval England meets Civil War Americans: Centuries Apart

Thanks, Tricia! I'll make sure we address the intro/outro sections when we get in the MW. :)
