No need to delete the earlier file. It's still there somewhere in the ether, but has a new name. Eventually it just floats away.

Kevin, did you spot check it? It's marked as PL OK.

dltrial, when a new file come in the old file is renamed. All of the versions stay in the system until the project gets cataloged. Then everything is deleted. We like to keep the prior versions until cataloging just in case we need to go back a step or two.
