Thanks. I bet everyone is mean to Moron.
I'm going to work on Cynthia first - might get that done today.
EDIT: Cynthia is done and cataloged!

Here's my first two acts. Just guessing on the pronunciation...

Still a little nasally from the chest cold, but tolerable (I think...)

Felt like recording today, so finished off Euryalus w/o feedback from the first two files.

hey Kurt, this was a perfect performance, and if it reassures you, I could not really notice a nasally voice. And even if I had, so what, the prince of Ithaca maybe also had a cold, it happens to the best of uskwpapke wrote: ↑January 10th, 2020, 2:08 pm Here's my first two acts. And as to pronunciations of names, as long as you are consistent in them during your role it's fine. People in everyday life may have different pronunciations for names as well. And Todd will be pleased that you frenchified his name for your role. Even though it means the same thing in French
And so all 5 acts can be marked PL ok. Quite an intriguing game he is playing here, but it worked out in the end. Yes, playing hard to get may have its advantages I loved the whole performance Great job, thank you so much. That's one of the main characters happily in the box.
Have a nice weekend and I hope you are right as rain again soon.

Cynthia acts 2&3 for PL:

If we do meet again, why, we shall smile;
If not, why then, this parting was well made.

thank you, Eva, an interesting character. She comes across as a bit more haughty in the beginning, but doesn't seem to be too mean a character in the end. I liked the interpretation. And it's PL ok.bluechien wrote: ↑January 19th, 2020, 3:11 pm Cynthia acts 2&3 for PL:

Oh no, I was aiming for something closer to frivolous, ha! Moliere remains (for me) the hardest of all tones to hit; well, another chance will probably come up.

Uploaded Act 1 here: https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/princessofelis_stagedirections_1_128kb.mp3 @ 5:56.
I think I'll need some hand-holding, as this is my first stage directions. I am unsure about how much of the titles to read. For example, do I read the characters in each scene? Do I pretend the Interludes are part of the Act and not separate them? Your and Todd's criticism welcome.
(I've not set the gain on this, as I'm fully expecting to have to rework sections of it.)
Regards,
Adrian

What?!? You think that I, Moron, speak in a deafening cackle?? And you don't like the way I sing?? I'd say it was just your bad judgement, but I see you also managed to get the last words in the play so someone at least has won your favor.Kitty wrote: ↑January 8th, 2020, 9:41 am and here is the little coquette Phillis, who wouldn't mind her lovers to die for her she is quite a bit mean to Moron what a tease !
