Please put the run time in the MW notes field, and change the status of the section to "ready for PL". :) Thanks!

I had some time to PL these.

Section 1 is at 85.4 dB. Section 2 is at 86.4 dB. So they're both a bit low.

Since this is your own solo, your volume levels are probably going to be consistent throughout, even if a little low. You can either amplify these (and all your files), or just leave them at the lower level. I'll leave you with that choice.

Other than that, they're OK. I'll mark one as "See PL Notes" and you can let me know what you want to do. :)

It's been 2 1/2 months since you last posted. Are you still working on this?

chapter 3 uploaded:

6m05s

also, what do you think of expanding this to include the appendix with the 8 studies? some are quite lengthy - the first is 14 pgs of 2-col text but it contains much detail germane to the report.

I hear you about the disruption since March. Same storm, different boats. Some people have found more time to record (and a good distraction) while others have gotten busier! Maria hosted a podcast about LV in the pandemic, if you care to listen. Link to the MP3 is in the first post of this thread: viewtopic.php?t=79739

Section 3:
Volume too low; please amplify by about 5 dB.
Sample rate is 48000; needs to be 44100. (In Audacity, go to Tracks / Resample... You'll also want to change the preferences to record at 44100 as default.)
The reading/content itself is A-OK.

Regarding the appendices: it's up to you! You can choose to include none, some, or all of them. :)

i'm sorry, i think i missed your note about leaving out the author name in the intro to each section. i'll edit sections 1-3 and resubmit.

It's up to you if you want to split the chapter. :) I listened to the whole thing in one sitting, and while I admit that the numbers and finer details escaped me, I didn't have too hard a time following what was going on.

PL OK... unless you choose to split it. ;)

ok - thanks for the quick and i'm sure lugubrious listen. i'll leave it. like many government reports this one is filled with tables and charts that really help the reader, this is actually a pretty interesting chapter. even after this spring's meltdown black monday remains as the worst 1-day % drop in the nyse, and looking at current literature there still is substantial disagreement on the cause. :hmm:
