Hi Todd, here's my recording of Section 14, at 15:15! This is the first book chapter I've recorded, so let please me know if I need to change anything here. When I finished recording, I noticed there was a lot of clipping so I hope that doesn't degrade it too much :? Thanks!

Thank you.

Clipping is bad. If you are recording with Audacity, you can turn on a feature that shows clipping in red either immediately as you record - so you can redo a phrase right away as you read - or when you review and edit it afterwards so you don't amplify something and make it clip.

Thanks, Todd

I think the audio is okay for our purposes, unless Todd disagrees.
I think you're over driving your input gain. You should make some adjustments in your recording set-up and settings. Do a few short recordings and check them until you have something that eliminates the clipping.

Your reading is fine, but at the end you need to add "End of Section 14."

Upload a corrected file under the same name and post the link and new file length here so we can check it.

Give me your tired, your poor...your lonely unclaimed section 25.

sorry I took so long
Hmmm. I entered your claim at 11:38 and you returned a 36 minute section 36 minutes later.

Maybe if you try harder you can have a section done in the the next book I offer before I offer it....

Thanks, Todd
