Somehow I have screwed around with some effects and cannot, in most cases match an over-dub piece of audio with the surrounding audio worth a bean. It seems like that when I use the Filter Curve or Bass/Treble or Graphic Equlaizer to "fix" a short segment, those setting do not go away when I'm doing other recording or fixing.
Sorry for the tardiness of this submission.

Jim, this is the first of your recordings that I've PLed. What a pleasure it's going to be to hear the others!
I heard only 3 minor blips:
2:13 "this inequality was in its origin infinitely less,"
garbled to the point of not being able to make out one or two words
5:22 Heard "Now it immediately results from the nature of such things,"
s/b "Now it immediately results from the nature of such beings,"
7:56 "it tends to BE the same purpose"
s/b "it tends to the same purpose" -- remove the "be" not found in the text.

Another fine reading, Jim. You are very deliberate in your production of the sentences. Some people's brains struggle to connect the start of a long sentence with its ending. Let me suggest that you listen to one of your recorded sections after you have used the Change Tempo to +6. I think you'll find that nothing is lost, nothing whizzes past one's ears so as to make it unintelligible; rather, the reading is more compact. Try this and see what you think. Lot's of people who are very careful about what they are reading go back and, as a last step. bump up the Tempo. Do an experiment!Jddykst wrote: ↑March 19th, 2020, 11:49 am Section 18 submitted, at 18:02, thank you

Only two slips:
9:35 heard "with anxiety, for the general for the eternal welfare of mankind."
s/b "with anxiety, for the eternal welfare of mankind."
14:29 thunder, which obscured a couple of words. Sounds of rain continue up to 15:05

Well, Jim, this is one of the thorniest chapters in the book! Lots of intricate and complex grammatical knots here! And, he must have been out drinking the night before and fastened upon the word "animadvert". It came up 8 times!
One word dropped:
2:27 heard "render us more or less ___ to contribute"
s/b "render us more or less fit to contribute"
