Section 30 is PL OK
Section 31 PL notes:
Volume is still at 85.8 dB so I asked Sonia for input on how to fix it. Here’s her reply:
if you download and open in audacity you see the problem right away. Between 0:55 and 0:56 is a high peak. That is the one that would be clipping. Luckily she only has that one peak. Some people are riddled with spikes and it's a lot of work to manually get them down. But here it's only one single one, so the best way to do is this:
1) zoom in and highlight the spike only
2) decrease volume on the spike by -5 (I think that should be enough)
3) highlight it all now
4) now you can amplify with 3 dB and nothing will clip - the volume will be about 88 dB then

Don't consider yourself a bother at all! We love helping people get their bearings, and I only wish my knowledge and experience were such that I could do more of it.
This file appears to be identical to the previous one, did you save your changes? Or perhaps upload the wrong version? Still at 85.8 dB, still has that spike... Sorry for the stress it's been giving you! But don't give up, it won't always be this hard!

You're right! I hadn't saved my changes! I think this one is correct:

Lovely reading!!
Several PL notes:
There's a very obvious hum in the background. One round of cleaning should do wonders for that!
DC Bias is at -15 (should be right around 0). To fix that, select all of your recording, go to Effects>Normalize, and make sure only the box that mentions DC Offset is checked. Then hit apply.
Also your beginning silence should be lengthened a little. There seems to be only .1 second.
That should do it. Thanks!
