Thanks! I will listen later today.
If the footnotes are interesting and you think they should be included, then do so. If they aren't interesting, then don't.

Sections 5 and 6 sound good! And I enjoyed the singing. I don't think I've heard more than the first verse of that song.
In section 6:
3:56 - "the holly bears the crown" - slight skip in the start of the phrase. Please listen and see if you want to change it. If you're OK with it, I'm OK with it.
"It would be interesting to know to which of his six wives he directed the little ditty." Indeed!

Oh, I'm glad you liked it!
Re. the 'skip', that one is deliberate (the-er holly bears the crown), in order to fit the words to the melody, so I'm going to leave as is. There's a musical term for it, but I've forgotten what it is.

I took a bit of a liberty, as the one known and sung now is a later version, and it's quite possible the melody is different also, although it's surprising how often not. This one had far trickier words and phrases to fit in though!TriciaG wrote: ↑December 11th, 2019, 8:17 am Sections 5 and 6 sound good! And I enjoyed the singing. Yes, I noticed how some of the words were trickier to fit into the melody, and that the melody was slightly different than what I'd heard in the past. I really liked it, though!

I have struck problems when trying to read the next sections. The middle strip is obscured in Section 10 (Mistletoe), so I've had to guess what should be there, but I've got to a couple of parts where I simply have no idea, eg, p21 of the book "Ladies please remember when ?????".
I've tried both links, neither helps.
What to do at this point?

I see what you mean.
There's another scan of it here, which doesn't cut off the inner margin: https://archive.org/details/in.ernet.dli.2015.170732/page/n33
