Hello,
I'm afraid I couldn't get 37 done in time, so I will have to let go. Thank you for waiting for me.

Thanks for listening!
thx to both of you!
this project is fully claimed and coming to an end, slowly.
(and that before cleanup-march )
i will look up the missing sections and ask back with the readers, soon (just so you are warned, in case you are following this thread)

I will go with S.W. spoken as letters.Jmbau13 wrote: ↑October 30th, 2019, 6:25 pmIf I may step in (used to live in London), I would say the letters S.W. rather than 'southwest'. It stands for a previous postcode in London and to say 'southwest' would sound odd to any English listeners. Any such abbreviations as part of a London address, I'd say the letters only.kimjoys wrote: ↑October 29th, 2019, 9:32 pm Hi,
I had a couple of pronunciation questions.
1. In Chapter 10, Presentations at court..., they give an address with the abbreviation S.W.:
“should send in their names and the names of those to be presented by them to the Lord Chamberlain, St. James's Palace, S.W., on the 1st of January in each year, but not before that date.”
I was wondering how I should read the abbreviation. I assume it stands for “South west.” Should I say that? Or say the initials/letters themselves? What would you like?
Thanks,
Kim
Cheers,
Kim

I call again upon our familiarity and offer my services for the reading of chapters: 18 (Wedding Expenses), 43 (Engaged), and 46 (Giving Presents). If the proffered meets with your approval, I will commence the recordings posthaste!
