I'm afraid Chapter 6 has so many words strangely 'cut off,' that I ask that you have a listen yourself. I hope you can make all the repairs.

Examples can be found at 4:47 (crowding), 4:59 (growth), 6:21 (ways?), etc. Somewhere in the 2s there was a kind of click after the word 'old,' but I didn't think much of it at the time. Now I wonder if you recording program was not running properly.

Let me know what you discover and I'll have another listen.

I was hoping to finish the project PLing today, too. Maybe there's still time?

what a PAIN!!!
So sorry!!
I went back in and extended each and every bad edit so all the words are there now!!!
I can't explain what happened....(must have gone off track when I pushed everything out a couple of seconds for a correction...) but it seems to be all there now!!

 :hmm:
"Morality" is doing what's right regardless of what you're told!
"Obedience" is doing what is told, regardless of what is right!

Good to hear that all is fixed. I have an appointment but should not be gone long. We'll get this done today!

Only one discrepancy in the last chapter. At 25:17 my text reads 'givers' rather than choir.

nope..."choir" is correct from both my sources (twainquotes.com & the pdf of the original)
..."sat the half-dozen chiefs of the choir of the commers"

so we should be good!

Excellent! Thanks very much for involving me. Will you tell TriciaG that the project is ready for the catalog?

(Hahah! She's so observant, she may already know!)

Ditto and thanks to BOTH of you.

Now if I can only communicate with a cover maker about the graphic....

BTW...I'm biting off a HUGE chunk of work for my next project...involving Project Gutenberg and OCR and ...and...

"The New York Times" articles!!! from 1867 through 1924 (our most recent Public Domain year as of 2020)

:-)

best to both!

Regarding a project with a 1924 text: we won't want to launch a project with 1924 texts until January 1. If you want to start it before then, I guess you could work on and only reference/link to ≤1923 works, and then in January you could add in the 1924 text(s).

Right!!!
There’s a TON of work to do on all the PRE 1924 material... so I won’t even be starting with LV for a week or so anyway...
But thanks !
