Section 3.

You might consider putting just a bit more silence at the very beginning of the recording.

Times are spot on.

7:33 'half past ten' which has to be changed to make sense in its context.

20:49 'convened' and not convinced

22:19 'persuasion' and not permission

29:06 'resolution' and not revolution

This has been my favorite so far. Classic Twain!
OK!
Great catches!!! I think it really helps to be reading from two different sources!!!
I corrected "portier" at 19:40

"Morality" is doing what's right regardless of what you're told!
"Obedience" is doing what is told, regardless of what is right!

PL OK!

It's funny, but one of the published sources doesn't include Twain's poem. They must not have liked it!

I might only add that you pronounce 'adversary' differently than do I. (It's quite close to the end of the piece.) I learned AD-ver-sar-y.

thanks for catching AD-versary!!!!!
I've corrected it (second to last sentence )
and sent the file back in.

As for the poem...yes!! it's frustrating...but I think we're OK with reflecting his original work....unedited by unscrupulous editors!!! :-)

Excellent! I'll get to it soon! We have snow and ice planned for tomorrow, so that might be a good time for me to 'bunker in' and listen.

Wisconsin. Coastal Maine must be heaven! I've always wanted to live where the sea pounds against the rocks and where the electricity fails so out come the oil lamps. (Quite an imagination, I have, no?)

Section 5 notes

1:20 'afloat' not afoot (Your choice.)

8:18 'fame' instead of frame (I don't know which might be the correct choice between them)

23:56 'no' instead of yes (George was born in Denmark, so 'no' would be the correct answer.)

1:20 I've corrected!
8:18 and 23:56 I've left as is...."frame" is correct....and so is "yes" (regardless of actual truth! :-)
