If not I'll still do Norah.
Julia in "Irish Engagement" is PL OK

Great job!! :clap: :clap: :clap:
Julia's "crazy" scene with M'Carthy was hilarious!
Yay! Thank you!

I would like to BC Lessing's "Damon, or True Friendship".

* Title and author
"Damon, or True Friendship" by G E Lessing, Translated from the German
Edited by Ernest Bell (1851–1933)(it does not state who the translator is).

* PD text link
https://archive.org/details/dramaticworksofg00less/page/n13/mode/2up

* Link to author on Wikipedia, and death date, if known
https://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gotthold_Ephraim_Lessing - died 1781

* Link to title on Wikipedia
Could not find it.

* Number of roles (including narrator) this project will have
6 roles

* Original publication date
1747

* The list of characters in your plays so when we have a MW I can set up your sections properly!
Narrator
The Widow
Leander, a Suitor
Damon, a Suitor
Oronte, cousing to Damon
Lisette, maid to the Widow

A brief summary:
The widow has two suitors (who are firm friends), and is happy to have them both as friends. Her maid schemes to get her to choose between them and pursuades one of the suitors
to deceive the other in order to gain the Widow's approval. In the final scene, this disception is discovered, the Widow chooses the firm friend, and the two friends friendship is affirmed
after forgiveness. A reviewer writes: "This play is no more than a trifle, and is even in many respects a poor trifle." Well, let's go over the top and make it something not to be trifled with.

The narrator has very little to do.

Best Regards,
Adrian Stephens
Great. And now we are full. So I can think about moving on past unlucky 13 to collection 14 soon!

Thanks, Todd

Thanks for setting this up - Todd.
Here's my reading of the parts:

Narrator - doesn't have much to do apart from announcing the scenes and a few asides.

(F) The Widow - can't make her mind up, and quite content in that state. Weak-willed.
(M) Leander, a Suitor - a friend, but willing to put the knife into his friend
(M) Damon, a Suitor - a friend, in the end willing to forgive, naive.
(M) Oronte, cousing to Damon - an odious bore who fancies himself
(F) Lisette, maid to the Widow - a schemer and non-respecter of her employer

Narrator also does the Intro and Outro as described in the first forum post.

Are you going for correct gender or gender neutral casting?
