May I claim section 6?

This will be my first recording and I'm super excited to jump right in!
I'd like to just appear by my real name in the catalog: Erin Stone :D

Hello! Welcome to LibriVox!

Certainly you may record section 06! We're glad to have you as part of the project.

Someone else has already added you to the catalog so I didn't need to. You can see your catalog page at: https://librivox.org/reader/13637. You can also get to this by clicking on your name in the Magic Window (MW). This is a good place to look to keep track of recordings you've signed up for, to see section details click on the link to "Reader Section Details" which appears just a few lines down from your name.

Again, welcome to LibriVox and enjoy!

Here is Section 1.

I selected Lynnet because the first page said to. Didn't we do a different one for Jill?

Maybe I'm still confused how things work?

Lynnet, the MC, is the correct person. The MC does the cataloging at the end of the project so we gather the files up on the server in their directory. Thanks for your section!

In the middle of the workday, it suddenly flashed in my mind, "I never said, 'To Be Continued,' on either of my two parts in this."
I've corrected the errors and re-uploaded Section 1, and uploaded Section 7.

Good catch! Don't worry, it happens to all of us from time to time. I have added section 7 to the MW. Thank you for your attention to detail!

Here are your notes:

1:

10:58: The ending silence is too long. You should be aiming for 5 seconds, and you've got almost 7.

7

0:34: You're missing 'Begun in No. 17 of Harper's Young People, February 24'
11:58-12:02: Failed take to be removed
13:56: The ending silence is too long. You should be aiming for 5 seconds, and you've got about 6.6.

Thanks for catching the outtake. I think I failed to do a final walkthrough with this one.

1 is PL OK, but for 7, you've accidentally left in the new bit you recorded (the 'Begun in' bit) at the end of the recording.
