The Sign at Six by Stewart Edward White (1873 - 1946).

All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/the-sign-at-six-by-stewart-edward-white/
It started out as a nuisance--odd electrical problems in the Atlas building that cleared themselves up. But then it got worse, the problems becoming more and more peculiar and inexplicable. Scientist Percy Darrow has given himself the task of figuring out the who and the how, and maybe the why, as life turns strange and a little dangerous. ( Tom Penn)
  • Text source (only read from this text!): https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/8398
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

MW coming up.

edit: Let me know if any changes are needed. Should we advertise for a DPL by adding a ~ before the book title in the subject line?

Thanks, Don. That works for me.

I will probably update the book summary and list of key words at some point. I'll post a message when that happens.

Don:
I've decided to switch the text source to Project Gutenberg because I like to mark up my script and I find it a lot easier to do starting with a PG file than with a scan. I've changed the source reference in the first post.
Thanks.

Just FYI, I'm still here and working on this project. I've been on vacation for a couple of weeks and now getting caught up. I had recorded chapters 4 and 5 before I left, but on listening to them now I'm not satisfied :( so will rerecord them.
