Please do.

(You may find that you disagree with my definition of 'rough and ready'!)

Hi Beth,

I'll claim Lord Robert Walsingham de Vere St Simon, please. I do love me a toffee-nosed rascal.

Hi Andrew! If you have fully PLed this file you might as well update the MW to save duplication - or did you just have a quick listen to Rob’s amazing posh accent?

Sorry Beth!

I am shall pm you tommorrow for a little advice - I appear
to be astonishingly thick!

I DO want to help as much as poss - 'cos this project is considerably larger
than the 'couple' of Holmes stories we originally discussed, and it seems unfair to
expect you to do all the work!

Anyway, hope you are keeping well - please do listen to my 'Scandal in Bohemia' Watson -
and I shall chat on the morrow!

Andrew.

Thanks Lola! Mrs Watson is all PL OK!

If you wanted any other parts, there is a plainclothes policeman in Story 9 (gender neutral role), and Mrs Rucastle in Story 12. Otherwise, have a look at the Dramatic Reading Short Story collection (light blue link in my signature file).

It's a bit rough and ready - I shall smooth out the edges in the final edit!
This is PL OK - the text, intro and outro are all present and correct!

I won't comment on the spacing, clicks and other extraneous sounds, as I assume that's the kind of thing you still plan to amend in further editing.

Irene Adler has been added to the MW! So Andrew, this is your first official file for PL, as I can't PL my own recording.

Also, I just realised the naming convention isn't quite right - it would make more sense for the number to be the STORY number (in this case it would be 01) rather than the section number (which is 05). I've done it as the template requires, but it would be easier for editing (IMO) if all the story parts had the same number. This information appears in the first post, so you need to amend that, I can't change it.

Here's Miss Mary Sutherland, from Story 3:

And Mrs Toller, from Story 12:

https://librivox.org/uploads/kathrinee/sherlockholmes_mrstoller_12_128kb.mp3 (1:55)

(These files are also in the MW.)

If you think the public can take an America reading an English role - sign me up for
Story 2 - Section 17 - Mr. Merryweather, please.

There’s lots of parts where accent doesn’t really matter - the important ones are marked in the MW.

You got Mr Merryweather!
