Thought I'd get the little foreward on the board:

https://librivox.org/uploads/lynnet/heroinesofservice_00_parkman_128kb.mp3 3:43

It's quite a long section, but I can't pass up the opportunity of reading Section 9, Mary Slessor, so may I have it?
Might be a few weeks before I can fit it in the schedule.

Hi and welcome to Librivox!
There are a few things to do before you get started.
You will need to complete a one minute test - this is to check your specs are up to Librivox standards, and if not, you'll be given hints on how to remedy that. http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/1-Minute_Test
Please post your test in the Listeners Wanted forum (see the dropdown at the bottom of the page) for the speediest response. Waiting for the OK may seem tedious, but can save time in the long run.
You will also need to be added to the catalog of readers. I will add you using your forum name, but if you prefer your real name or a pseudonym let me know. We can also link to a personal blog or website. Be sure to read the first post - all the info you need is there, but if anything doesn't make sense, just ask. The wiki (see the top of the page) has bundles of info too.

May I record Chapter 4, A Maiden Crusader?

As an aside, here is a quotation from Wikipedia:

When the Evanston College for Ladies became the Woman's College of Northwestern University in 1873, Willard was named the first Dean of Women at the university. However, that position was to be short-lived with her resignation in 1874 after confrontations with the University President, Charles Henry Fowler, over her governance of the Woman's College.[4] Willard had previously been engaged to Fowler and had broken off the engagement.[1

Does this sound familiar to the Me too movement?

All yours.
It does say “maiden crusader”! More ways than one.

May I please claim Part 8. A Campfire Interpreter -- Alice C. Fletcher? I had never heard of her, but as I read her story today, I felt a deep appreciation for her life mission. I live on land that was taken from Indians, and am inspired by their values and wisdom. They are good neighbors.
I submitted my 1-minute test today and await the OK/feedback. I'm eager to begin recording for you!
