I just sampled your recording, and my only comment is that it does have a lot of reverb, to empty room echo effect.
I recently made some changes to help with this - first by bringing the mike closer, and then hanging several blankets behind my recording space. Any soft, absorbent thing like curtains, drapes and carpet can help with this.

But, you recording is certainly acceptable, and our DPL will be along to give you a full report.
