Thanks for all your help so far Tricia. It's been very much appreciated! :)

Hi Rosebud and thank you so much for taking the project on. Could you clarify the process from here a bit? Do we keep uploading, once we've made our corrections, as we have been or is there a change now you've taken proof listening duties? This is our first librivox project so we are learning as we go along :)

Make the corrections, then upload the new file. When it's uploaded, post the resulting URL (and the full run-time of the file mm:ss, please, including the end silence) in this thread.

PL notes for Section 2:
*Intro incomplete, should begin with "The Stone Dog, by Sir Charles G. D. Roberts" then continue with the "This is a LibriVox recording..." as you have it.
*Outro ends at 19:19, but there is some background noise and file ends at 19:28. 'There should be ~5 seconds silence at the end of the recording.'

Hope I haven't complicated anything too much for you! Any questions, please ask. And if I don't know the answer (I'm fairly new myself!), Tricia can hopefully find a spare few seconds ;) to help us out.

Thanks!

Thanks for those corrections! There are still 2 things to fix... (I'm sorry, I should have specified the ending remarks wanted!)
*At the end of the section, say:
"End of Sir Eustace Grey, by George Crabbe"
*There should be ~5 seconds silence at the end of the recording.

Thank you!

Thanks, I'll do this for my other ones, as well, once the full notes are in etc., much appreciated.

I have uploaded the file to the MW, updated the time, and marked it PL OK.

Reference for next time, you only need those 5 seconds of silence at the very end. (To provide a pleasant space between sections.) But between the work and the outro, just leave a natural-feeling space of maybe 2 seconds. I think we can leave this file the way it is, though. (Any input, Tricia?)

Thanks!

I agree - as a listener, I wonder if the file is done, and then after a while I get the "end of section" message. Oh, I guess it is done!

So yes, a couple seconds or so between the story and the "end of" outro, then the 5 seconds silence at the end. But there's no need to edit the first section yet again. It's not worth the hassle.

I'll help out here by PL'ing the odd numbered sections. :)

Thanks a lot, Tricia! I look forward to seeing what experienced PL’ers point out and say about things that come up! :D

Here is piece number two with the amendments done to the start and end. Read by RebeccaG, 19.25.

I'll make similar amendments to each piece as we go through them. Hope these corrections are okay :)

Odd numbered sections are all well read! It's just the pesky LibriVox intro/outro stuff that needs a bit of cleaning up:

Section 3: about 13:06, need "end of [title] by [author]" followed by 5 seconds of silence (it some silence now).

Section 5: about 32:49, need "end of" wording followed by 5 seconds of silence

Section 7: about 10:19, need "end of" wording followed by 5 seconds of silence

Section 9:
0:01 - need "Maldoror, by Comte de Lautréamont" before the LV disclaimer
~24:52 - need "end of" wording

Section 11: ~1:28 - need "end of" wording. Also, please say "end of of L'Art Pour l'Art" before the 5-second silence to indicate it's the end of the project. :)
