Thank you, Linny! I know, it was super upsetting to read (and edit). In the beginning I was sort of removed, but by the time they were talking about the right hands of kids mixed in with the adult ones I just felt like crying. To think of the atrocities that have happened -- and are still happening, all over the place...

I'd like to take section 4 if still available.

Thank you kindly,

Mickey

Yes, this has often been a very difficult read because of the horrible things people were doing to each other. Very sad.

Thanks!
PL OK. It is amazing what people will tell themselves in order to make doing such awful things ok. "They're just heathens."

Alright I've been gone forever and while it appears some of my sections have been made redundant I'm glad to see progress made regardless. I do believe i have The History: What Britain Did and The History: The 'International African Association' finish recording with a portion of the next recorded as well. I'll take today to find out how the heck to upload them. I'm just glad any progress is made on this book.

I think I'm still Co-BC here. Shall I assign you those two later sections? "The History: What Britain Did" has been reassigned.

Please don't toss "What Britain Did," however. Perhaps it will come in handy if we don't hear from the reader currently assigned.

What is the current situation with sections 6 and 7? One of the early posts suggests everything up to 7 has been recorded, but 6 and 7 are still listed as 'open'.

6 and 7 were 'orphaned' but the person claiming them has reappeared and I think has re-claimed them. (I'm waiting on an answer.) I'm okay with that as there are other sections for newcomers to claim. But, I should add, I think it fair to say, that the deadline for this re-claim should be considerably shorter than the regular two months. That, however, is a matter that would need be approved by our MC. (I'm a bit in the middle here as I am just helping out until the BC one day returns.)

A shorter claim period seems fine with me under the circumstances.
