Nearly equal lengths would be best, I suppose, unless there is a logical break in the text that would suggest otherwise. Please identify the sections as part one and part two in the intro.

Thanks very much for participating!
thank you kevin!

Isn't there a LibriVox rule about not editing text? There are times when footnotes aren't included, but I think the basic text itself has to be recorded "as is". Can anyone confirm?

Yes, the rule is the text must be read as it. Maybe schrm is referring to editing their recording? So as long as it is cleaning up the recording and not changing the text, there is no issue.
Also, related to this, the reason for the duration limit of in the 60 to 70 minutes range is due to how much a CD can hold. That way the whole story or section is certain to be on the disc.

Thank you for the confirmation. I just want to make sure. There are times when it's tempting to edit text, especially when the writer is long winded.

i always hope that my english is easier to understand than me writing in german, solely - but, depending on my levels of tiredness, concentrating on other things...

Hahaha! People would like to edit me!

And thank you for asking about this. You are exceptionally diligent and that's wonderful in a listener.

How about "The White Lady of Hazelwood A Tale of the Fourteenth Century", Chapter 1. The first few paragraphs are a very interesting look at 1372 London.
