Fixed and re-uploaded. That's what happens when you don't mark spots to be edited.

I've just re-uploaded section 24 because I'd found a mistake. It should have been "chapter 5" in the intro, but I read "chapter 3" instead.

SEction 26 is in.
I woke up at 5 AM and rather than toss and turn waiting for the 6:30 when I had to get up I decided to do something productive with that time.

I totally missed your last couple posts. I'll be able to PL today.

I could not record so early in the morning. My voice would be too froggy!

No problem :)
It was just an editing session this time. The result of it was that I felt more awake at 6:30 (when I had to get up for work) than I usually do at that time.
EDIT: Did you spot-check 24? I see the PL status has changed.

Yes, I'm working on these now, so I changed the PL status of 24 but haven't posted yet.

24 spot PL OK. 25 PL OK. Listening to 26 now. ;)

27 OK!

I don't recall exactly when the US wrested Panama from Colombia in order to build the canal, but I don't think it was before this book was written. :hmm: It might talk about the failed French attempt to build the canal, though. We'll see. :)

The sound quality is quite uneven I think. At some point my laptop fan turned on and I think it's clearly audible. If you have any suggestions how to improve the situation, I'd be happy.

I listened to it on my better speakers, and didn't hear anything amiss.

The next section is long, so I skipped it for the time being and went straight for the Panama one. It makes frequent referenes to the events described in the section I omitted though, so listening to it is going to be a weird experience, if you actually want to learn something
Also, I won't need the section 31 slot.

Section 30 will probably come on Thursday or Friday once I'm back from the trip.
This book also has an introduction with bibliography and acknowledgements and I'm still not sure whether to read it and if so, how much of it. My questions is, would it be possible to skip the bibliography and acknowledgements and just read the first 4 paragraphs? (In vol 1 the introduction was short enough that I could fit the interesting part in the project summary  )
