Lovely voice! (Just a 'personal' opinion! )
I have absolutely nothing in this world but time - so I believe I should invest it wisely...

I'd be happy to take on Sherlock, if he becomes available.

Here's Sherlock: https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/dyingdetective_sherlock_conandoyle.mp3

(18.03)

I would normally compress and normalise, but because of the changes in voice, with whispering, feverish, imperative and normal, I've left it close to untouched. Just one light noise reduction to clean up the silences between the speech.

I've recorded a few gasps and a chuckle, but I felt that this was best handled by the narrator. Use them or not, or ask for more, as you please.

Re: Sherlock.

I spotted a repeated "and" at 16.20 ".... and crusts of beeswax ..."

Edited and re-uploaded.

Apologies.

OK, sorry this has taken a while, but there's a fair few PL notes. I've already cut out all the repeats, coughs and ad libs, but please be aware that if this were not a dramatic work you would need to edit these out yourself.

Since I've already started editing using your original file as a base, please put these additional lines into a NEW file - you can call it whatever you like. "Narrator extra lines" is common. Also, please leave MUCH more space between lines (2 seconds, ideally) the editing of this piece is really tricky as your original file has very little space between lines.

I'll give you the whole sentence, as this is easier for editing rather than individual words. I'll highlight the bits I actually need in bold:

but her remarkable lodger showed an eccentricity and irregularity in his life which must have sorely tried her patience.

She was fond of him, too,

He paused after each sentence to collect his failing strength.

All remonstrance is useless,

Of all ruins, that of a noble mind...

for it was hardly six (o'clock)

He still retained, however,

...until I could bring help to him.
