MaryAnn,
I haven't heard anything back from Lucas. Should we look for someone else to do the final PL?

Hmm. He was on LV last week and is BCing a couple of projects. I've dropped him one last PM. If we don't hear from him in a couple of days, we can ask someone else to PL this so we can get it in the catalog.

Thanks for taking care of the editing!

Is this still open? I'd be happy PL the final thing compiled versions. I was Momus.

Yes Adam, please go ahead and PL. I'll give you MW access so you can mark the status.

PL Notes: Part 1
I think it was mostly fine. None of the meaning is disrupted. There were two errors that might be worth fixing.

2 middling-level errors:
“of the ^OpvldeQ and 'Iitithq” missing (the Greek names) 6:11 - Intro
“Long while” repeated - 42:03 Momus

And a few completely insignificant errors, I would suggest not worth addressing:
extra “a” 10:18 - Hera
missing “of” 10:43 - Hera
import not importance* 14:53 – Zeus
Extra “very” -- 16:12 – Stage
Arts instead of Art 18:03 -Heremes
Missing “the” 39:14 – Poseidon
Enigmatical instead of enigmatic -- 44:33 Momus
Missing “there” - 46:27 – Momus
'If" instead "when' -51:06 - Herakles

I fixed a few of them. This isn't word perfect so I believe the others are fine. MaryAnn will need to decide.

In my recommendation, Part 1 seems fine. I'll stay away from doing word-perfect on the second prooflisten. I'll let the BC decide.

Part 2: Five insignificant errors, none of which disrupt or change narrative meaning. Since its not word perfect, I'm marking it down as PL Okay.

Damis – 7:11 – ‘He has been’, instead of ‘he had been’.

Momus – 11:07 – “I not” instead of “not I”

Momus- 14:52 – “with’ instead of “within”

Timokles – 21:36 – missing ‘here’

Zeus – 22:45 – ‘Babylonians’ instead of ‘Babylons.’

Pending the BC's approval, it looks this is a wrap? I enjoyed this project a lot, an interesting set of insights on pre-Christian conflicts between Greek cynics and traditional Paganism, and religious landscape of 200s Greek world where Christianity was walking into. Also, an object lesson on badly pop culture references age after two millennia - :9: without the footnotes so many would have gone over my head!

Linny,

Would you mind doing a cast list? I don't think I saw one in the thread.

No problem.

EDIT: A little more complicated with the deleted parts but I'll get it. I know where the cast list is recorded.

Linny,
thanks for your help in getting this done. sorry if I made it extra difficult to do the cast list ... I had deleted the individual part sections before I realized I didn't have a cast list. I'll try to remember to check for that next time ...

Anyway ...

This project is now complete. All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/zeus-the-tragedian-by-lucian-of-samosata/
