Just a question about the pictures included. Are we to ignore them or should we give a "readers' note" for the caption? I'm assuming "ignore" but want to check first. Thanks!

Yes, just ignore them. And also any caption referring to them unless it's a paragraph that would stand alone and make sense without reference to any illustration. Thanks for asking.
