Hi Elsie, section 9 is coming along, almost done. Finished my first recording and my first review of spots I needed to re-record. Should have something to upload before the month is out.

Confession: This is harder than I thought! I have a new-found respect for readers, esp. of this text: Lang's prose is dizzying.

No kidding!
I am in the middle of recording Chapter 6, "The Mystery of Kaspar Hauser."
Lang is very word-heavy but also very snarky.
Makes for an interesting... um, challenge.

What a slog this turned out to be!

Lang is such a persnickety+verbose "debunker"-type blowhard.
The only way I could maintain any interest was to put a snarky spin on it.
I really hope it's OK, because I wouldn't want to revisit it.
I must say I'm not happy with this recording... but I don't think I could improve upon it.

Well... That was 'fun'!

I was intrigued by the bizarre nature of this account, but I have learned my lesson! I will make sure to read
the entire text before volunteering in future!

I have posted the read for checking, but it isn't quite ready for catalogue yet. Allow me to explain...

They's a lot of words in this wot I didn't understand! I tried Google for pronunciation whenever I hit a wall -
but a lot of this ain't there! So I just sort of... Er...

Well, I just made it up, okay?

There are a whole load of places where I didn't actually have clue what I was saying - so apologies in advance if I've said something rude!

Note: I'm posting this, but it ain't 'complete'. I have absolutely no idea how to pronounce

'2l. 13s. 6d'

So I have left a gap for it. (About the 27 minute mark.)

I assume that 2l. means 2 livres - but after that I'm totally lost!
