I see your edit.

Looking at the text, it looks like that little bit is actually an introduction into the next portion of the text rather than a continuation of the previous chapter.

So I'm thinking, for now, read and edit all of that chunk as section 34, as it's indicated in the MW, then see how long it ends up being. It could be that that intro has a lot harder material than the chapter proper, so that the whole thing will go faster than the first 15 minutes. If it ends up being too long, then massage it so that the intro is in the previous file. (I think I'd rather not have it there, since it's looking forward rather than backward. But if it simply won't fit in section 34, then we'll put it in section 33.)
