Martin Luther by Carl E. Koppenhaver (1915 - 2000).

All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/martin-luther-by-carl-e-koppenhaver/
A short book on the life and career of Martin Luther. ( Elyse J. Wood)
  • Text source (only read from this text!): http://gutenberg.org/ebooks/53499
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

I started to set this up for you, then discovered that the author died in 2000. With me being in Canada, he's not PD for me. Since I download all projects I MC (as a backup), I am not comfortable MC'ing this project.

However, since I already started the MW, I've added it to the project. You should be OK with setting up the MW, but you'll want to wait to upload anything until you get an MC.

And one last note: I found that the text you linked to is actually a mirror of the Gutenberg text, so I've just used the PG link rather than the one you supplied. :)

Hi TriciaG---I had no idea that this was going to be so complicated, but it did give me pause when it looked like the book possibly wasn't PD, but then I saw it was. Maybe because it's third edition. I'm not sure. Thanks for setting it up. SC :)

You can go to the last project you worked on with her and click on her name. Then send her a PM telling her the book is in the Launch Pad.
