Michele,
There are two "clutches" of sections remaining open.
I would be happy to do either "clutch".
Please assign me one.

with the errant "of" snipped out.
Strangely the phrase in question is moved forward about 40 seconds to around 14:17, but "of" is still there. Either you decreased the tempo, or added in extraneous material somewhere? Got any ideas?
williamjones wrote: August 24th, 2019, 6:20 pmHowever, I do not understand your statement about "Chapter 23, Part 1" being inverted. I checked both the Intro and Outro and both say identically "Chapter 23, Part 1".
Likewise, I checked Section 24 (Chapter 23 Part 2) and found in both the Intro and Outro "Chapter 23, Part 2"
Please explain what your comment means.
I can't explain it. It is right now.

I applied an tempo of 4, thus the mismatch of the time ticks.
The "of" is still there?!?!?!?!??!
Lemme do some checking.

Somewhere I made a mistake and uploaded an earlier version of this file.
Just now I have re-re-uploaded
https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/dred_23_hbstowe_128kb.mp3

The "of" is correctly not-found at 13:38, right where I excised it.
I apologize for uploading a less-than-current file.

Hi, Chris, welcome to the project. Alas, I just promised 53 to Bill via PM, but could I persuade you to take 52, or something else?

Uploaded Dred Section 53 -- All Over

https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/dred_53_hbstowe_128kb.mp3 17:37

I was in the middle of a txtmsg conversation when I uploaded this file with the same name except with a "_" hanging after the 128kb.
I corrected that file name and uploaded this second time.

Dred dies after trying to save a runaway from Tom <spit><spit> Gordon and his gang.

Gonna miss Ol' Dred.

PL Notes 53, Chapter 52, All Over

2:41 how the word of the Lord, you say world
10:15 a strange reverb effect at "He hath". Wouldn't mention it but that you have that other edit.

Wow! What a dramatic chapter, and well performed. Good chapter title, All Over!! I have to wonder if Stowe made up Dred's conversations with God and wild revelations? Some of them are pretty far out. And at the time of her writing, the Civil War had not yet been fought so the overthrow of slavery was not certain, and the churches were not behind abolition either. Brave, brave lady. Wow, indeed.

Uploaded Section 52 Chapter 53 The Slave hunt.
https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/dred_52_hbstowe_128kb.mp3 13:28

This recorded length of this section 13 minutes, which is about 1/6th of an hour.
If I make X mistakes per hour of recording, then
I am likely to have committed X/6 mistakes in this short recording.
I did 2 proofing passes and found 4 discrepancies.
I think that statistically I probably got them all.
Thus, I have uploaded the section rather quickly.
Fingers crossed.
