DRED READERS, I'm dying to know:
Has anyone of you read a section in which the despicable Tom Gordon gets killed??????
If so, please pass the section number along to me.
Thanks.

I've recorded or proofed every OK'd section so far and Tom is very much alive and up to his hateful deeds. I suppose you could scan the few files still incomplete and find out for yourself. But please, no spoilers here. Let me be surprised!

PL Notes Dred 24 Camp Meeting Part 2

19:24 that we may buy the poor for silver, you say pie
22:15 uttered in a par-ox-ysm of affright, you say pie-rox-im, should be par ox ism
39:28 felt a hand laid on his bridle, laid is missing (just mentioning, makes sense without it, just not as dramatic)

I uploaded a new Dred 24 with Nina's part added in my voice, between around 13:00 - 16:30, same file name. Please save your original with another name before downloading this version, and apply your PL edits to this new file. Thank you for letting me read the Nina part, which you should PL for me. :D

Uploaded Dred 24 (Camp meeting part 2) with your noted corrections

https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/dred_24_hbstowe_128kb_.mp3 42:48

Inserting your voice for Nina's was a great idea. It works well.
No discrepancies found. PL OK.

Section 24 is PL OK!

Please note the extra _ after 128kb again in the file you uploaded (above). I removed it and uploaded it afresh (below), so nothing further for you to do with this. Fun duet, short but sweet!

For the record: if that's the only fix, I can easily do it at cataloging. There's no sense wasting bandwidth on something I can do in a jiffy - and actually, automatically do on all projects I catalog. 8-) As long as the file is downloadable via the Listen link in the MW, it's OK.

(I do like when all files start the same way, so they're all together in the file list, which sorts alphabetically. But an extraneous underscore, or missing the _128kb, or something like that, I can easily deal with.)

Thank both of you, Tricia and Michele, for catching my faux pas.
I am happy to make the changes my self.
I want to do everything by the book.

Again, THANK YOU!

Thanks, Bill. Now 24 is PL OK.

I agree you should try to make requested changes yourself so the file name is always correct on your own computer, and you are alert to avoid similar mistakes in later projects. Wrong or extraneous keystrokes are a common problem. And sometimes readers will listen again to a PL OK'd file and decide to make a few more little tweaks, then they upload the file again with the wrong name because they haven't changed it on their own computer. It's good to know the MC is there as a fail safe, but only as a last resort.

Good job!

Bill, I'm taking you up on your offer to claim Sections 43 and 45. You are now in the MW, and this project is full!

Clayton runs a Plato dialog thing on Dr. Dickson. Nice use of logic to make one's point!

RE-Uploaded Section 43 after noticing that I hadn't checked for volume.
Lesson learned: it doesn't help to have a check list unless that list is checked before uploading!
