Hi Rapunzelina~! The first American, explicitly-lesbian poetry collection was published in 1923, so it's now in the public domain. ^^
I tried practising feminine voices with these, so they're all whispery. The reason the third recording sounds different is because I tried sucking in my Adam's Apple for the first time, which is metal af. Mad respect to our trans sisters out there.

Congrats on your first librivox recording, and thank you so much for contributing to our Poetry Collection!
For some reason I got your file in a different bit rate, instead of 128, but I was able to re-export from Audacity and fix the bit rate. For your future recordings though, you should check your setup, in case it's not set right: In the export option for mp3 (in Audacity), it should have "Constant" selected, and 128 kbps.
I also amplified a bit. I think you can increase your microphone's input volume, so that visually in Audacity the wave-form peaks just above the 0.5 mark.
Lovely reading!

But I have a PL note; they're missing the short disclaimer at the end "This recording is in the public domain". Could you add that? (Personally for me, it doesn't matter if you can't replicate the voice and the disclaimer ends up in a different tone. Just in case you were stressing about that.)
